A new free job-training course in the food service sector is starting at Borgo Laudato Si’.

The Laudato Si’ Advanced Training Center, in collaboration with Percorsi di Cittadinanza,

s offering a new hands-on learning opportunity for those who wish to acquire skills in the restaurant and hospitality sector.

The lessons combine practical training with principles of sustainability, emphasizing the use of locally grown products, seasonality, and the reduction of food waste.

Throughout the course, participants will learn the fundamentals of food service, develop manual skills, teamwork abilities, and techniques for preparing dishes from both regional and national culinary traditions.

The program also includes training in hygiene and safety standards, the management and preservation of raw materials, and the use of professional kitchen equipment.

The training pathways are intended especially for individuals in vulnerable situations who have a good knowledge of the Italian language, including migrants, refugees, unaccompanied minors, women survivors of violence, unemployed youth and adults, people with disabilities, and former inmates.

All courses include personalized support for job placement, lasting one year.
