Laudato si’ Center for Higher Education: Fr. Stefano Cascio Appointed Deputy Director for Administration

His Eminence Cardinal Fabio Baggio, Director General of the Laudato si’ Higher Education Center, has appointed the Reverend Fr. Stefano Charles Cascio as Deputy Director for Administration and Operations of the Center.

Born in Nice on 18 September 1978 and holding Italian–French nationality, Fr. Cascio began his vocational journey at the Studium of Notre-Dame de Vie for the Diocese of Nice (2001), and subsequently continued his formation at the Pontifical Roman Major Seminary (2002). Ordained a priest in 2008 for the Diocese of Rome, he has carried out his ministry with distinction, marked by dedication, a spirit of service, and constant pastoral availability.

Over the years, he has held numerous appointments: parochial vicar at Santa Maria Addolorata and at San Giovanni Battista de’ Rossi; pastor of San Bonaventura da Bagnoregio since 2016; collaborator with the Office for Social Communications of the Vicariate of Rome since 2018; ecclesiastical adviser to UCSI Lazio (Italian Catholic Union of the Press); Dean of the XVI Prefecture since 2020; and Deputy Director of the Office for Social Communications of the Diocese of Rome since 2024. These experiences have highlighted his abilities in discernment, balance, organization, and a solid ecclesial formation.

From an academic standpoint, Fr. Cascio holds a Licentiate in Law from the Université de Nice–Sophia Antipolis (2000), a Baccalaureate in Theology (2006), and a Licentiate in Canon Law (2009) from the Pontifical Gregorian University. His profile is further enriched by significant experience in ecclesial communications, youth ministry, and media projects at both national and international levels.

In his new role, Fr. Cascio will assist the Director for Administration and Operations in daily activities and in the management of the staff of the Borgo Laudato si’, also assuming such responsibilities as may be delegated to him, with the aim of ensuring an ever more effective and harmonious development of the Center’s initiatives, in coherence with the vision of the Encyclical Laudato si’.

The Directorate of the Laudato si’ Higher Education Center expresses its heartfelt and cordial gratitude to the Reverend Fr.
