Starting the Fifth Job Skills Course for People Experiencing Social Vulnerability

The fifth training course in gardening and green space maintenance for individuals in situations of social vulnerability begins on Tuesday, October 21 at Borgo Laudato Si’.

The initiative is carried out in partnership with the social cooperative Percorsi di Cittadinanza.

The course aims to provide basic skills in green care work, including garden and flowerbed maintenance, as well as the use of tools and techniques for managing outdoor spaces.

Classes are held both in the classroom and outdoors, in the gardens of the Borgo, and are led by trainers with experience in the field.

The program is open to individuals referred by social services, third-sector organizations, parishes, and reception centers, with the goal of offering a concrete training opportunity and promoting inclusion and job reintegration pathways for migrants, refugees, women survivors of trafficking and violence, people with disabilities, and young people facing difficult circumstances.

The course runs for two months and includes one year of support in the job search process—ranging from CV preparation and interview training to submitting applications to companies interested in hiring trained personnel in this field.

This course is part of the professional training activities promoted by Borgo Laudato Si’, in line with its commitment to integral ecology and to the dignity of each person.
