Francis Roberto Prevost, a pastor with a missionary heart, an Augustinian, the son of European immigrants to the United States, formed between Latin America and North America, the new Pontiff brings with him a wealth of experience and a steadfast commitment to promoting social justice and standing close to the poor.

The election of Pope Leo XIV is a powerful sign of hope for the world and a renewed trust in the synodal path of the Church, especially in light of his recent role as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops.
