Inauguration of Borgo Laudato si’
Borgo Laudato Si’ was officially inaugurated today with a ceremony presided over by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. This historic site—once a papal residence for centuries—has now been officially opened to the public, in the spirit of Laudato Si’, the encyclical by Pope Francis, which this year marks its tenth anniversary.
Arriving in Castel Gandolfo at 4:00 PM, the Holy Father began with a symbolic visit of the property, exploring its most significant historical and spiritual locations. He met with employees, collaborators, their families, religious communities, and all those who, in various roles, contribute to the life and mission of Borgo Laudato Si’. This historic occasion was also marked by the presence of Maestro Andrea Bocelli, who, together with his son Matteo, joined in prayer and offered a song for the guests and the Holy Father.
